As a Doula, I Do Not:
Free Consultation
My initial meet and greets are no obligations, no strings attached. I want to get to know you, and I want you to get to know me. I feel it is important for you and I both to feel a connection towards one another, after all you are opening up your safe space to me.
Services to meet your needs
No two birth's are the same, as your doula, I will try my best to accommodate all of your needs- Whether that is a basic package or a more detail support package- YOU are my priority.
Phone & Email Support
As your Doula, I am here to support you, this can be done via phone, Facebook and emails at anytime and I will get back to you within 48 hours. Starting at 36 weeks, I am on call and will reply to you in a matter of hours.
Professional Information
I have invested countless hours in research, studying, and reading. I have heaps of information, however, part of my job is to teach you how to research on your own, so when we do part ways, you are armed with the right tools. Remember, there are no wrong decisions expect for uneducated ones.
Perform any clinical tasks
I am NOT a medical professional and will never take the place of your doctor or midwife. I am here to support you emotionally and physically, however I am not to be used in place of your doctor or midwife.
Make decisions for you
In the end, this is YOUR birth, Your baby and YOUR decision is the only one that matters. I am not and cannot make the decisions for you. I can always speak to you and help you determine the best route for you and your family, however, the ultimate choice is up to you.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
This is YOUR birth. YOUR nurses, YOUR Doctor, YOUR midwife. In order for you to feel in control, you must be in control
Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
I promise to be open and honest with you when you ask, however, the decisions you make, even when they go against what I would personally do, will not affect how I support you. My place is to support you in loving, judgement-free way.
Bereavement Services
I understand that the loss of a baby is devastating, please know you are not alone. My bereavement services are and always be free. I am able to offer these services free of charge thanks to the generous donations made by my previous clients, friends, families, and strangers looking to pay it forward.
